After looking at Pitchfork’s Top 50 Tracks of 2010 all I can say is the staff has gone Air Supply on us. Ten of their picks actually have some sort of urgency behind them. The rest of the list is expected. For one, choosing “Rill Rill” off “Treats,” an album filled with aural assault galore, is like a coma patient phoning it in. Are you guys kidding? Ha. I bet. I’m not a music critic. So not I’m not going to sweat a paragraph of carefully chosen words out but I offer you this, a purist’s vision.

A fuck you to heartbreak, sung by a voice that can melt cake frosting.
42. Japandroids “Younger Us”
A sexually charged, fuck you to death.
41. Deerhunter “Helicopter”
A moody, fuck you to diminishing returns on the effects of drugs.
