Fleeing Brooklyn

Dear Complacency,

We’re moving to Queens, a hipper venue than where our offices have been for the past three years, Boerum Hill, Brooklyn.

We’ve been sandwiched between the old money in the Heights, the ultra-gentrification of Carroll Gardens and Smith Street, and that other slice of white bread, Park Slope, where speed limits are posted for parents pushing baby carts.

The Brooklyn we knew now feels like a gated community, a place you’d expect to see old people getting around in golf carts or tricycles.

Below is a picture taken in the area known as BoCoCaIghts (which includes Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, and Brooklyn Heights). These are the types invading.

And the following image is a photorealistic dramatization of Park Slope in the next 2 years. Good luck.
